Inspiration is taken from traditional sources in the English capital this festive season, as Christmas carols, rhymes and bright white winter wonderlands are envisioned with contemporary twists and playful narratives in the windows of London's leading department stores.

Selfridges' White Christmas has a jukebox in every window, complete with interactive sound engineering created by Condiment Junkie. Each of the windows represents a different carol in a playful yet sleek narrative.

Showtime! is the seasonal window theme at Fortnum & Mason, inspired by the 1980s Pet Shop Boys video for What Have I Done to Deserve This? In which the singers - plus Dusty Springfield - are surrounded by cabaret dancers dressed in elaborate costumes.
